India falters as South Africa takes a 2-0 lead in the T20I series with ease.
South Africa has turned the heat up in the second women’s T20I, cruising to an emphatic eight-wicket victory over India. After the bowlers kept India in check, it was all about Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus, who formed a formidable opening partnership that made chasing down the target look like a walk in the park.
India struggled to put runs on the board, thanks to some sharp bowling from the South Africans. With only a modest total to defend, their bowlers needed to be at their best, but Wolvaardt and Luus had other plans, showing class and composure as they steered their team to victory.
With South Africa now leading the five-match series 2-0, India will need a serious rethink if they want to bounce back in the next encounter. Can they find a way to turn the tide, or will the Proteas keep their foot on the gas?
