Annual updates see no changes at the summit, but some teams shuffle below.
India and Australia have flexed their muscles, retaining the top spots in the ICC Men’s and Women’s T20I Team Rankings after the annual update. India leads the men’s table with 275 points, just ahead of England at 262, while Australia dominates the women's side with 287 points, followed closely by England at 275 and India at 264.
The latest rankings reflect all matches played since May 2025 at 100% and the previous two years at 50%. Despite a slight trimming of their leads—India's over England from 14 to 13 points, and Australia's over England from 18 to 12—both teams remain comfortably ahead. The top seven spots in the men's rankings are unchanged, with New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and the West Indies rounding out the list.
In a broader context, teams like Sri Lanka have slipped, now just above Afghanistan in ninth. Meanwhile, the USA have moved up to 13th, while Italy and Spain have made notable strides in their respective rankings. As the cricketing world watches, will India and Australia continue to dominate, or will challengers rise?
