Varun Chakravarthy Spins a Web, Dismantles RR's Plans
KKR's mystery spinner leaves Riyan Parag and the Royals reeling at Eden Gardens.
In a nail-biter at Eden Gardens, Varun Chakravarthy showcased his spinning wizardry, leaving the Rajasthan Royals in tatters. After a blistering start from RR, who cruised to 63 without loss, Chakravarthy unleashed his mystery in the middle overs, turning the game on its head.
The KKR spinner first took down Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for 46, and then Dhruv Jurel didn’t stand a chance, falling for just 5 runs. But it was the wicket of RR captain Riyan Parag that truly broke their momentum. In the 15th over, after Parag tried to take on Varun with a reverse sweep, he was completely bamboozled by a slow, spinning delivery that crashed into the stumps. Parag trudged back for just 12 runs off 14 balls, a huge blow for the Royals as Chakravarthy bagged his third wicket of the day.
KKR will be buzzing after this turnaround, and with Chakravarthy in such fine form, the Royals will have to regroup quickly. Can RR bounce back, or will KKR ride this wave of momentum to victory?
