Rayudu aims to revolutionise Hyderabad cricket with player-first approach.
In a game-changing move, Ambati Rayudu has been appointed as the new Head of Cricket Operations for the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). Announced via his social media on May 5, Rayudu is stepping into this pivotal role with a three-year term aimed at reshaping the cricketing landscape in Hyderabad.
Rayudu's vision is crystal clear: he wants cricket to operate independently from administration. His primary focus will be on player welfare, ensuring that Hyderabad transforms into a powerhouse of domestic cricket. "Cricket should be run with players being the priority," he stated, signalling a departure from traditional management practices.
Among his ambitious plans is the introduction of a player contract system inspired by the Mumbai Cricket Association, aimed at modernising operations and minimising human interference. Plus, he’s eyeing a Centre of Excellence to mirror the successful model in Bengaluru.
With the HCA also looking to tap into rural talent and expand its facilities, Rayudu's leadership could be the spark that ignites a new era for Hyderabad cricket. Watch this space as he sets the wheels in motion for a cricketing revolution!
