CSK legend slams Dube's performance after narrow defeat to SRH.
In a fiery tirade, former CSK batter Subramaniam Badrinath didn't hold back in his criticism of Shivam Dube following CSK's 10-run heartbreak against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chasing 195, CSK looked poised at 112/3 but crumbled to just 184. Dube's lacklustre 21 off 16 balls didn't help, and Badrinath was quick to label him as 'baggage' for the team.
Badrinath's comments on Dube were scathing. He pointed out that a player of Dube's stature should be thriving in pressure situations, yet he seems to struggle against even the simplest deliveries. "It's too easy to bowl to him in the end overs," Badrinath stated, highlighting how modern T20 requires batters to be adaptable and proactive.
The former CSK star didn't stop there. He called on the likes of Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad to step up and play anchor roles for the team. With Gaikwad averaging just 13.66 this season, the pressure is mounting on CSK's batting lineup to find some stability.
As CSK lingers at seventh on the points table, the question remains: Can Dube turn this around, or will CSK’s season continue to spiral?
