Can Tristan Stubbs turn around Delhi Capitals' batting woes?
Kevin Pietersen is back in the mix, and this time he’s targeting Delhi Capitals’ No. 3 batting conundrum. The Capitals, with a 3-2 record in IPL 2026, have struggled to find a consistent performer at that crucial spot. After a series of disappointing scores from Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi, Pietersen is advocating for the explosive Tristan Stubbs to step up.
Stubbs, who shone in the SA20 earlier this year and performed under pressure at the T20 World Cup, has been relegated to lower-order duties, scoring 169 runs at a whopping average of 84.50. His strike rate might be a tad low, but that's because he’s been playing the anchor role when needed. Pietersen’s call for Stubbs to bat at No. 3 could be the shake-up the Capitals need as they face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
With the batting line-up needing a serious revamp, we’re all waiting to see if the Capitals will heed KP’s advice. Will Stubbs be the game-changer they’re looking for?
